In the afternoon we had to stop cycling and look for some shadow because it was insanely hot:
After two hours in the shadow, the thermometer still showed 39°C:
Later we found this nice spot with shady trees and fresh, cold water to get some more rest:

We arrived in the evening, and found a nice cheap guesthouse to stay.
The next day, we went to explore the city. Yerevan has a large, luxurious city center with lots of parks, art and impressive buildings. Here are some impressions:
